TownHands terms.

Marketplace role

TownHands provides job posting, worker profiles, applications, matching, messaging, offers, and status tools. TownHands does not employ marketplace workers, become a party to agreements between participants, guarantee payment or performance, or verify every statement. Verification is limited to the checks explicitly displayed.

Real-opportunity commitment

Posters must disclose accurate scope, approximate location, timing, pay, opportunity type, and worker requirements. Stale, deceptive, speculative, discriminatory, or non-existent opportunities are prohibited. Employers agree to update applicant outcomes and close or renew listings honestly.

Independent participants

Participants remain responsible for evaluating worker classification, qualifications, licensing, insurance, safety, pricing, taxes, wage obligations, permits, and applicable law. Selecting “W-2,” “contract,” or “one-time help” does not override the actual legal relationship.

Safety and regulated work

Do not use TownHands for emergencies. Work requiring a license, permit, credential, insurance, or specialized safety controls may be performed only by responsible participants who possess and follow those requirements. Do not publicly share precise addresses, access codes, financial credentials, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Prohibited use

Unlawful, dangerous, exploitative, discriminatory, deceptive, or rights-infringing conduct is prohibited. Spam, impersonation, falsified credentials, review manipulation, unauthorized content collection, misclassification schemes, application harvesting, nonpayment, and attempts to bypass platform protections are prohibited.

Transactions and disputes

Unless a TownHands payment product expressly states otherwise, participants arrange payment and resolve disputes independently. Record scope, price, timing, materials, classification, cancellation terms, and warranties before work begins.
